Artist

I first became interested in tattoo culture when I was travelling the world whilst studying and working in archeology. From modern designs to traditional tattooing styles, such as the Sak Yant style from Thailand or the different Polynesian designs, I was fascinated by the act of tattooing and how it was used as a way to decorate and enhance the human form.
One of the most memorable experiences was when I travelled to Bali. There, whilst meeting and getting to know tattoo artists of all different nationalities, I got my first tattoo. I still vividly remember the moment the needle touched my skin, I felt a shock like an electric current flowing through my body and a weird sense of familiarity, as if I had been doing this for many years.
From that moment onwards, I have continued to explore how the decorative designs I have accumulated throughout my travels and studies can express the inner depths of the human body.

Since graduating from Musashino Art University, I have been working on creating tattoo art at ShiRyuDoh.
Ever since I was younger, drawing has come to me as naturally as breathing, and just like breathing it has been something I can’t imagine living without. Anything I can’t think of how to put into words or express outwardly I communicate through my art, using lines and colors to convey what is on my mind.
These days what I love most is witnessing the moments when my art brings people joy or touches the hearts of others.
Taking inspiration from daily events, encounters with customers, and the diverse values and perspectives they share, I strive to create designs that people can cherish, providing them with strength and support through the ups and downs of life.
